The Douglas Fir is an evergreen conifer that is in the pine family. It is one of the fastest growing Christmas Trees. Douglas Firs can live to be as old as 1,000 years if not longer. They are commonly used by timber milling companies in furniture production. Nothing beats a fresh Douglas Fir from our Christmas Market.
Balsam Fir, native to most all of central and northern Canada as well as the eastern portion of the United States. These trees are very aromatic, and for that reason are often selected for Christmas Trees. People have been using these trees for hundreds of years not only for their scent, but for their sheer beauty. Who could say no to a beautiful Balsam Fir from our Christmas Market?
The Canaan Fir is often confused with that of the Frasier or Balsam Fir. This tree originates and thrives in the mountainous regions of west Virginia. This is a hearty tree with strong branches like that of a Frasier and the conical shape of a Balsam Fir. They are extremely fast growing trees. They would make another great choice from our Christmas Market.
The Noble Fir has large dark green soft bristles. The Noble Fie exhibits a uniform conical form with uniformly spaced branches. This is considered the King of Christmas Trees. The Noble Fir is native northwest California. The Noble Fir is not doubt a crowd pleaser and is sure to stand out in any home. Come on down to our Christmas Market and bring one home today!
The Norway Spruce is a very desirable Christmas Tree giving off a pleasing Spruce aroma. The color of a Norway Spruce is considered excellent, however the needle retention is not as great as the Eastern White Pine or the Balsam Fir. This species of Spruce produces the largest cones, some measuring 4 and even upwards to 7 inches in length.
The Norway Spruce is a very desirable Christmas Tree giving off a pleasing Spruce aroma. The Eastern White Pine is one of the Nations most popular old school varieties of Christmas Tree. They are an extremely heart tree with long soft bristles that exhibit a dark green color. If watered properly these trees will retain their needles longer and are less of a fire hazard due to the tree naturally staying moist for longer period
